NoticesMembership Fees ................................................ $50.00
Corporate Membership (currently not available) Members are permitted to invite visitors to any of the club's outings. Visitors and guests are subject to a 50% premium. Members introducing visitors to the club shall accept responsibility for the conduct of their guests both within the clubhouse and on the course. Through the courtesy of our participating golf clubs, we have been permitted to play on their courses. We respectfully ask that members and visitors show their appreciation in every way and patronise the club's facilities and professional shops. Members are expected to familiarise themselves with the requirements of behaviour, mobile telephone and dress regulations of the golf clubs that we are privileged to attend. Members shall act with dignity at all times and observe both the rules and etiquette of the game of golf. Competitors will at all times be under the jurisdiction of the Match Committee whose decision shall be final on all questions arising out of the day's play. The Match Committee is usually comprised of the Club Captain, the Vice Captain and the Secretary, or a responsible member deputised in their stead. It is the responsibility of the member and/or his visitor to notify the handicapper of his Golf Australia handicap at the beginning of the season or prior to his first game with the club, and at any stage during the season when his handicap has been altered. Should a member, after registering for play, find themselves unable to attend, it is their responsibility to advise their partner(s), endeavour to secure a replacement and have the registration sheet altered. All members must be financial in order to qualify for competition trophies, and any other golf day prizes or draws. Non-financial members will be charged the visitor/guest surcharge of 50%. Annual Subscriptions are due and payable on or before the first golf day of each calendar year. |
CompetitionsThe rules of play during competition will be those as set out by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews as amended from time to time; except in so far as they are modified by the local rules of the Club on whose course the competition is played.
Local Rules of the respective club must be observed at all times. Newcastle MBA Golf Club is accredited by Golf NSW for GolfLink Tier One access. All results are uploaded to GolfLink, and accordingly games are now played under course conditions equal to the venue club's Saturday members' competition. To be eligible for any Annual Trophies, a (full) member must play at least 5 games during the current calendar year. Associate members are ineligible for Annual Trophies. There is a Point Score competition conducted on all matches throughout the year. Points will be awarded where possible to Winners, Runners-up, Third placegetters and those attending on the day. Conversely, Penalty Points are applied to Winners, Runners-up and Third placegetters, and will be applied to future scores for the remainder of the season. A Singles Knockout Competition is conducted with the best 32 scores from Opening Day to draw. Singles Match Play rules apply. Any player not completing his game either before or on the nominated days, or not on course by his allocated tee time, will automatically forfeit. Trophies are awarded for Club Championship (2 rounds, Stableford/Stroke) to Winners and Runners-up (stroke) in A, B & C grades. Trophies are awarded for a 36 Hole Score (nett) competition to Winners and Runners-up in A, B & C grades. The Aggregate Stableford competition is based on the average of the five highest stableford scores over the year. Only one trophy may be won from the scratch or nett scores on the championship rounds and in the event of a member winning both, he will be awarded the scratch trophy. |
